AU state quarters and doubled die 1943-D steel cent

In the Red Book, the prices for state quarters in AU are more than face value. Is this true? Is there anywhere that you can actually sell them?

I have a 1943-D steel cent on which the 943 and the D are doubled. How much is it worth?

Wait... do you mean $ or cents? (Reason tells me that it must be cents, but just in case...)

How 'bout the AU state quarters?

Sorry for the misunderstanding Silver Drum, I have meant to say $1.50 to $2.00 You will probably get more if it is in Extremely good uncirculated condition, because you have described your coin to have the 943 and the D doubled, it is very common in all 1943 cents, RedBook states a '43D to be around $0.75 in AU. Interesting piece but not interesting enough to get any premium out of it on eBay. I have the same on my 1943D Your coin is not an error and is worth the same as any other 1943D cent of the same grade, the redbook does state there's an official Bold-Double D mint mark error around. But untell now i have never seen a Real 1943 Double D Cent. Ill post a photo up to see if your coin is like the one i have, If its not then you could be holding a real 1943 double die cent. The photos are not mine so its just an example

I have never found anyone willing to pay "red book" prices, the dealers use "grey sheets". The 'red book' is used mostly for mintages.
